On 14 October 2026, the TRUST project was represented at the most recent DaProLab session in Luxembourg, hosted by project partner the Luxembourg National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD). The session, titled “GDPR Certification & CE Marking under the AI Act: Where Do They Really Meet?”, brought together experts and practitioners to explore how these regulatory frameworks interact.

TRUST partners CNPD, Mandat International (MI) and the European Centre for Certification and Privacy (ECCP) were involved in the event, with Vasiliki Tsiompanidou presenting the TRUST project. The discussion addressed practical challenges, including overlapping compliance requirements, documentation, and opportunities to streamline compliance efforts.

The discussions connected directly to TRUST’s work on the Seal of TRUST and its GDPR certification use case. TRUST aims to help organisations assess their practices against regulatory requirements, identify compliance gaps, organise supporting evidence and prepare for certification. The Seal of TRUST framework is part of the project’s wider effort to make regulatory compliance more structured, verifiable and meaningful for organisations and their stakeholders.

TRUST’s participation at DaProLab provided an opportunity to share the project with the data protection and AI compliance community and contribute to discussions on making regulatory compliance more effective and accessible.
