European Alliance of Medical and Biological Engineering & Science (EAMBES)

The European Alliance of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES) is a non-profit international organization that federates most scientific societies and academic and research institutions located in Europe and involved with Medical and Biological Engineering and Science. The main objective of EAMBES is to improve the health, wealth, and well being of the citizens of Europe by the application of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science.

Leading Task 5.3: Medical Research Use Case, EAMBES is validating the TRUST platform in the medical research domain, where compliance with EHDS, GDPR, MDR, and IVDR is essential.  

The task evaluates TRUST’s capabilities across three key scenarios: 

• Preparing EHDS secondary-use data permits;
• Assembling GDPR/MDR compliance packages;
• Verifying cross-border data sharing, including synthetic-data pathways.
